Mr. Carlo Ople, Managing Director of Dentsu Digit JaymeSyfu cited key things in dealing with the Millennials, while Mr. Paul Rivera, the Co-Founder and CEO of Kalibrr described them as impatient and flexible. Technology has the greatest impact on this generation, which makes them want to run things easily and they tend to crave for personal achievements. According to Ople, companies and organizations will have to accept that the Millennials have bigger dreams and should be provided with trainings to let them work as effective and efficient as needed, before they go out and start-up at their own with unique and better ideas for the better future.

While it is normal for children to get strenuous as part of play, two young boys based in the province of Laguna learn the chase to earn a living by climbing garbage trucks while on transit to gather items good for selling. Jay-Ar Marchan and Jay-Jay Alvarado, age 11 and 9 respectively, talk about their life as jumper boys, the courage to face danger, and how other people try to direct them to other pursuit.
Entitled Jumper Boys, the 10-minute documentary featured in Goethe-Institut’s “I Got It!” is an eye-opener among children about the life of an underprivileged and the struggle to make ends meet day-by-day.
“The Jumper Boys are best examples of people who know how to value life at its deepest meaning by appreciating its struggle. The producers are hoping that after watching this film, children will have a greater appreciation of what they have in life,” says writer/director Grace Torres.
“I Got It!” is a unique co-production and capacity building project through an edutainment magazine format produced by broadcasters of nine Southeast Asian countries in cooperation with Goethe-Institut. These countries are represented by RTB Brunei, TVK Cambodia, LNTV Lao P.D.R., RTM Malaysia, MRTV-4 Myanmar, UBE Media/PTV4 Philippines, Thai PBS Thailand, and VTV Vietnam. Launched in 2009, “I Got It” has already produced 51 sets of 10-minute episodes that are produced and aired on partner channels between 2010 and 2013. Each documentary uses the producing country’s national language and communicates directly to the young audience based in Southeast Asia.
On May 30 to June 4, Prix Jeunesse International 2014 opens at Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation) in Munich, Germany. The bi-annual event gathers producers altogether to watch and discuss the programs created for children. Prix Jeunesse is the melting pot of professionals from around the world to share their culture in terms of programs and practitioners.
Jumper Boys is produced by the “I Got It!” Team Philippines composed of Donna Lina-Flavier (Executive Producer), Grace Torres (EP/Writer/Director), Jenice Santos (Post Producer/Writer), Sunshine Vallejos (Production Manager), Daisy Salmero and Grei Estuita (Production Coordinators).

UBE Media gears up as it presents to car enthusiasts the official website of BMW Car Club of the Philippines. The website features forums and all updates on the activities of BMW car club members. Special features are also shared by members to excite everyone further about how great this car brand is.
The first 10 years of UBE MEDIA, INC. has been focused on service for cross-industries and stewardship to fellow human beings and the world. On its anniversary celebration last 24 November 2013, UBE Media, in cooperation with the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME), led a boundary tree planting at the Makiling Forest Reserve in Calamba, Laguna.
MCME retired former director Dr. Jose Sargento inspired the guests to work, take care, and nurture the boundary trees. He also ensured that soon these plants will be another reason to celebrate because “the trees you plant today will be nurtured, will come back to take care of you, maybe not you personally but through other means”, he says.
A total of 160 UBE MEDIA, INC. guests planted the variants of banaba, alibangbang, and African tulips at the 500-meter trail out of the three-kilometer boundary. Aside from the medicinal value brought by these flowering trees, its colors of pink and purple will help determine the boundary of Mt. Makiling Calamba side.
Earlier, while we were busy in the office, a group suddenly came in for a trick or treat. They were in costume, most of them inspired by nightmare creatures. Their halloween vibe invaded our Christmas-decorated office. Our visitors were in character. And in case you are wondering where they came from, they are friends from our sister company Dynamic Outsource Solutions 1, Inc. (DOS-1).
To introduce you further to them, DOS-1 is our business process outsource group that answers customer service concerns of clients of some of the top brands in the Philippines and even Australia. Aren’t they that cool?
We recently acquired a new van to cater to our ever-growing need to go from one place to another. We move around a lot, and getting this new vehicle will be a good thing for the team.
Thanks to Father Ian who blessed our new van. It’s a Nissan Urvan that is capable of hosting wifi. Oh, it will really mean that we can get connected to everyone even while we’re on transit.
And, by the way, did you know that it exactly looks like our four-year old van that we named Zsa-Zsa because of its plate?
Here’s the team photo for the day.
